Oregon Space Grant Consortium
The Oregon Space Grant Consortium has worked to develop a balanced program of research, education, and public service. In this matching grant opportunity, the Oregon Space Grant Consortium is working with Space Explorers, Inc. to bring the K-3 Space®, Orbital Laboratory® and Universal programs to K-12 classrooms throughout Oregon. These unique interactive programs help teachers bring the excitement of space to life.
Oregon Space Grant maintains a diverse array of programs to support space science and engineering education from middle school through graduate school. Through educational and community outreach opportunities such as this, it aims to help develop a strong science, mathematics, and technology education base from the elementary through university levels. It also strives to encourage interdisciplinary training, research, and public service programs related to aeronautics, space science and technology, as well as recruit and train professionals, especially women, underrepresented minorities, and persons with disabilities, for careers in aerospace related fields.
