Texas Space Grant Consortium
The Texas Space Grant Consortium (TSGC) Consortium is a group of 36 institutions which include universities, industrial organizations, non-profit organizations, and government agencies within Texas that are joined to ensure that the benefits of space research and technology are available to all Texans.
Through this matching grant opportunity, the TSGC is allowing students to take advantage of the Universal, K-3 Space® and Orbital Laboratory® programs offered by Space Explorers, Inc.
The TSGC is located Austin, Texas and fosters the sharing of space related course materials among consortium academic institutions, the development of multi-institutional space research efforts including industry-university teaming, high quality graduate level space research at consortium academic institutions, space-related programs and curricula for public schools and for the public, uses the interest in space to increase participation in science and mathematics in the public schools, and hopes to increase the pool of high school graduates who enter college to study science, mathematics, and engineering with emphasis on underrepresented minorities and women.
