Events in space history for 08/05:
    • First quasar identification made by radio during a lunar occultation (1962). This quasar is known as radio source 3C273. Its position was determined when it was occulted by the Moon, and a faint star-like object with a jet was photographed at the position. Its spectra showed unusual emission lines.
