    Events in space history for 11/22:
    • The IRAS (Infra-Red Astronomical Satellite) ran out f Helium coolant for its infrared detector and became inoperative. The IRAS was launched on January 25, 1983 and stopped working on November 22, 1983. During operation, it discovered dust around the sun between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.
