Students at ABC Middle School to Hold Press Conference
Students Performed Same Plant Growth Experiment as NASA Astronauts

Green Bay, Wis., 3/27/08 - Students from ABC Middle School in Green Bay, Wis. are preparing to announce the findings of their Orbital Laboratory® plant growth experiment. Through the generosity of the Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium, Lynn Teacher's students will discuss their participation in Space Explorers, Inc.'s Orbital Laboratory® program at ABC Middle School on April 3, 2008 at 3 p.m.

"Orbital Laboratory® provides an excellent hands-on opportunity for students to be involved in space research," said Lynn Teacher. "My students are growing their own plants, compiling data, and comparing their data with other studentsí data from around the world."

Through the Orbital Laboratory® program, students replicate plant experiments astronauts conducted aboard the International Space Station to learn how living organisms function differently in a microgravity environment. In Payload 003: Cultivating Our Future, students compare soybeans and dwarf wheat plants as possible food sources in space. They then go online to compare their findings with students throughout the world.

Students will discuss their data analysis and experiment results in the ABC Middle School auditorium.
