Northern Lights ABC School Anchorage, Alaska
    Teacher Carole McKee

Middle school students at Northern Lights ABC School successfully completed three Marslink® mission simulations. Students worked together to launch a simulated rocket and successfully put the Mars Odyssey satellite into orbit around Mars. This simulated experience was conducted over the Internet and involved overcoming anomalies that were not part of the mission script. After going through three phases of the Odyssey mission, the students finished the mission by turning on their science instruments and letting the spacecraft collect and transmit data from Mars.
