Featured Class:
K Beach Elementary School – Soldotna, Alaska
Teacher Jason Daniels
Students at K Beach Elementary School have been participating in Space Explorers programs since 2005. This year, students researched Martian data to compare various landing sites for their rovers in the Mars Explorer program. After they selected their landing sites, and their rovers arrived on Mars, they examined mineral samples using the rock abrasion tools. Each student worked individually to accumulate points for the various mission tasks they completed. Their younger peers explored K-3 Space® as they increased their scientific literacy.
