    Teacher Sharon Johnson

Students in Ms. Johnson’s classes recently participated in the Lunar Expedition and Suborbital Sojourn programs. They successfully completed a Moonlink® mission simulation which involved guiding their spacecraft into a planned crash into the Moon. In addition, they also successfully completed the Spaceflight Simulation, in which students took on the roles of scientists and engineers at a spaceport as they sent a rocketplane into suborbital flight. As part of their suborbital flight, the rocketplane traveled to the edge of Earth’s atmosphere, reaching an altitude of 60 miles before landing back at the spaceport.
