    soy bean data
my soy bean was planted on october 26th and now stands 19 cm. How long does the average soy bean plant to grow? How are your plants doing? My bean gets 15 hours of light a day. It seems as if the leaves just double everytime I check it.

Which growth medium are you using for your soybean? Soil, zeolite, or vermiculite?

I planted it in soil. Ive also noticed that the soil is soaking up a lot of water and it seems to just sit there too. What does that mean?

That just means that the soil absorbs and holds more water than the other two media. This could be both a benefit and a drawback. Can you figure out why?

I think it would be an advantage because it will make it so it doesnt need to be watered as often. The draw back is that it will cause mold to form on the soil and also could cause the plant to die of over watering.
