For several Space Explorers programs your students will not need separate accounts. They can use your username and password with little chance of them accessing anything that they shouldn't, such as answer keys. However, it may be a good idea to assign them their own username and password. Some programs require separate usernames and passwords for students, and they can always use it to access the communications section of the Space Explorers website.
The first step to creating student accounts is to click on "Update Classes" This will bring you to a form like the one on the right. The first time you visit this page there may not be a form there. To create one, all you have to do is click on the "Save changes" button.
This form allows you to manage each class separately. From here you can assign each class to a different Space Explorers program.
To assign a program to a class, you just have to click on the drop-down menu associated with the class, and highlight the desired program.
Students in the Orbital Laboratory program will automatically have access to the pretest when you assign the program to their class. After they have taken the pretest or if you would like them to skip the pretest and take the post-test instead, click in the Activate Post-Test column until a checkmark shows up.
After you have made all your the changes, click the "Save changes" button at the bottom of the screen. If you want to erase the changes you have just made, click the "Revert to last save" button instead.
